Madhubala’s sister Madhur Bhushan recalled how their father Ataullah Khan visited her grave for years, poured perfume into it and built a marble tomb. She said the tomb was dismantled after his death and they didn't even know if the grave survived.

Madhubala was married to Kishore Kumar when she confessed that she had never been able to forget her former love, Dilip Kumar. The star-crossed lovers are now buried close to each other.
