Supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, the programme aims to help students from rural areas understand how scientific topics taught in classrooms are experimented with and applied in real-life cases.
The project includes the construction of precast drains along both sides of Mandi Road and one side of Bandh Road, along with two pump houses to ensure quicker removal of stormwater, officials said.
The programme focuses on domains such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT) and is scheduled to be held in July 2026 at the IIT Mandi campus.
