HHS is pausing legal action against compounding pharmacies that make certain peptides, effectively allowing them to offer the unapproved drugs immediately.

The Department of Health and Human Services will let small compounding pharmacies make six peptides that haven't been approved by the Food and Drug Administration. It may not be enough to meet demand.

HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says the federal health department will allow certain peptides to be compounded.

People living with conditions include heart problems, stroke risks, eye infections and bipolar are unable to get hold of the drugs they rely on.
