An arson Saturday morning damaged the building of a beleaguered police department in Mississippi that has drawn outrage from the community in recent months after an officer shot and killed a 1-year-old, authorities said.
The Mississippi police officer who fired the shot that killed one-year-old Kohen Wiley in a Walmart parking lot in June during an alleged shoplifting pursuit resigned.
Responding to a shoplifting call last June, Senatobia police officer Sgt. Hunter Foster opened fire at a moving vehicle, killing one-year-old Kohen Wiley.
