I have a larger head and most regular fit hats slip off quite easily. I’m looking for a breathable (mesh or holes), white, not flat billed hat suitable for running. I just went to REI and the On Cloud running hat was perfect except it was too small.…

Hey, Ive had this Orca wetsuit for 4 weeks and used 5 times (twice in pool), is the glue splitting on some seams showing stitching normal? (Probably not) Thanks submitted by /u/big-balls1337 [link] [comments]

Are there any real down sides to just wearing a pair of tri shorts under my wetsuit and then putting on a shirt for the bike/run? Something of a similar material but not as tight.…

Anybody else signed up for Wilmington this year? I had to do the “special registration” with the Ironman Foundation donation because general registration sold out already, so I guess that’s a pricey lesson learned to sign up earlier.…

Recently bought a new Trek Speed Concept SLR 7 and I’m absolutely loving the bike overall. The only issue I’ve run into is the integrated aero bottle between the legs.…

How many brick sessions is ideal for OD training? 60 days away from my first tri. My training plan is only giving me 2 brick sessions and it’s in the peak build phase. Should I add more? submitted by /u/Anthropomorphouss [link] [comments]

I swim in nantasket beach temps 63-70 and too cold in 60’s without wetsuit. No idea of what type and how much to spend for comfortable 30 minute swim. Thanks submitted by /u/massholesamadams [link] [comments]

Hey everyone, I’m completely new to triathlon and just bought a brand new Zone3 Agile for my first Olympic-distance race in two weeks. Unfortunately, during the very first real try-on, I managed to make three tears in the neoprene (photos attached).…

Just bought a new bike and wanted to share! I’m decently tall so finding a 58 has been a nightmare, and a Cervelo P3 showed up in my area in my size! Seller was nice enough to throw in the pedals and a profile design aero hydration system with it!…

Beginner question, I will do my first 70.3 next year and I was wondering if anyone of you have any experience turning your canyons into tribikes? Am i good with just getting a more upright seatpost (sp0078) and the gear groove aerobars?…

Hello fellow triathlon enthusiasts, I am actually a passionate runner, but a persistent injury forced me to cross train a lot and that got me into biking and swimming. I had some swimming lessons in my youth but did not swim for the past 20 years.…

I’m siting in the athlete briefing right now, just dropped off my bike. ITS REAL!! I’m terrified! The course is a straight up long slow rolling climb out then turn around and ride back down. I’m so afraid of having to walk up some of the ride out.…

For nearly 30 years, the Pacific Crest Endurance Sports Festival brought triathlon, duathlon, marathon and half-marathon events to Central Oregon. But this year the event is canceled and its return […]

I am looking at getting into triathlon training and I am genuinely curious how triathletes structure and track everything efficiently. Are people mostly using: multiple apps? spreadsheets? coaches? training platforms?…

I always thought the swim wouldn't be a big deal, since I picked it up pretty quickly. But actually training has been way more frustrating than I expected.…

Curious what workouts or training people do for bumping up your run pace, specifically for short course triathlon. For context, I am generally front of pack for both the swim and bike, however I'm always several minutes back from the top runners. E.g.…

I am very active, (strength training 6x weekly and endurance training 3x weekly), and I have been an athlete my whole life. I have such a deep desire to do an ironman, but I am worried about the time commitment needed for training.…

Hi folks, I’ll be taking up swimming in Lake Superior in prep for my triathlon (and for a 1 mile swim in Duluth in August). Thoughs on wetsuit fit? Size is XXL—the length looks too big along with the bunching in the back. Should I size down to xl?…
