Home again - power came on 3 minutes before I walked in the door. Decided on oriental cuisine cooked elsewhere. Tried to get a voicemail on the way out the door to pick up food - still crappy cell signal.…
Lost power again around 4:45. Apparently the UPS will last for at least 3.5 hours. Looks like work is down hard, though. I'll need to grab my phone and check the damage there. No showers for us at the moment since the power is still off...
Bullets for the attention-span-challenged. * Gods help me, I'm on Facebook. It can be a timesink - especially all the game apps that are designed to suck in all of your friends (*cough* Hammerfall *cough*).…
Power back on after 95 minutes. Fussy toddler with a cough tries kicking the crap out of me for 45 minutes, then I sneak her to bed so I can pee and take more cough medicine. Which makes me cough. Go fig.…
So yeah. Hi, LJ! I've been doing the Facebook thing lately and thinking about dabbling in Twitter (I've signed up but haven't done a blessed thing yet).…
It's now 1:40. Took a break to start a fire and I'm kicking myself for feeling crappy enough to talk myself out of bringing more wood inside. I have enough to last until morning, but I should get the new stuff drying as soon as possible.…
I feel pangs around 11:30 every day at work. I had assumed I felt hungry without investing much thought into reaching that conclusion. On reflection, I realize now that I feel empty - there's a huge difference even though the symptoms are similar.
It's just before 1AM. The power has been out for going on 15 minutes. I just got a new laptop battery this morning, I just didn't realize I'd be hard-testing it so soon.…
It's all about balance. I got hop back into the director's seat for one rehearsal, and my adrenal gland finally caught on. Inertia falls away and action rushes to fill the void.…
What is it with muses and travel? She visited me again this morning on the train. No hello, no greeting, just a quantum eyeblink and she existed. As if my mind accidentally lined up with her plane of reality, making her flesh in my life again.…
I did a quick post on Facebook already, but thought I'd tap the waters at LiveJournal as well. Original post: Sleep Dep gives me ideas. In the shower, I heard 4 words in my head: "W00tstock in Alden Hall." Anyone interested in helping get geeky coolness…
Click below to get Worcester on w00tstock's radar at Eventful. I've been using zip 01609. Thanks! ETA: Yes, entering your email means you'll be on Eventful's email list - actually several of them.…
I'm at idea +5 hours. From posting on the train 2.5 hours ago to now, I've got a couple of rabid fans (thanks, Chadly and Lizzie!) and Eventful went from zero to 10 demands.…
24 hours in. Demands went from zero to 35 in one day, and I still haven't gotten the word out to groups and game stores. I'll do an initial reach-out to The Whiz and TE.…
We're at 56 click-throughs. Thanks to all of you who have clicked and signal-boosted. I've made a site for the effort, so if you want to pass the URL to anyone who may be interested, here it is: http://w00t.twwombat.com Need to make flyers and hit TE and…
Holy crap. 83. That makes Worcester 5th in demands, and we're 2 away from overtaking DC. I've got a blurb heading for the next WPI Alumni newsletter, and flyer sare going up. Anyone need a flyer to post?…
Just announced a few minutes ago: w00tstock is coming to Boston (Wilbur Theater) on Halloween, but without Wil Wheaton. Details here. I wasn't expecting to see it in Worcester before 2011 anyway what with the logistical nightmare of scheduling and all, so…
I've been doing a lot lately. I thought I'd share. - I've been active on Twitter. I'm twwombat over there (duh), so feel free to follow me as I'm still groping my way around and figuring out how to use it effectively.…
Signing up early with Gameful may pay off sometime soon. I mean, aside from getting to debug the site and start talking with cool game-developer types. Holding tongue to not jinx it...
Managing my thoughts can be challenging. I try to keep game stuff in my gamer blog, and more private life stuff in here. Twitter is much more immediate, and I auto-cross-post my tweets to Facebook since I'm not investing the time there as much any more.…
