‘Young Frankenstein: The Musical’
Cascades Theatrical Company is entering its second weekend of staging funnyman Mel Brooks’ “Young Frankenstein: The Musical,” the story of Frederick Frankenstein, grandson of Victor, who inherits his family’s Transylvania estate, where hijinks ensue once he follows in his grandfather’s footsteps. If you’re familiar with the 1974 comedy sharing the first part of the title, the musical is based on it, and also features music and lyrics by Brooks.
Speaking of prolific: The show also marks prolific director Richard Choate’s 12th production for the community theater, located at 148 NW Greenwood Ave., Bend.
Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday through Nov. 1. Run time is two hours, plus a 15-minute intermission. Tickets are $55 each, $49 for students and seniors.…
