I'm not studying German in a linear manner so I may be asking a stupid question, I apologize in advance. The phrase is the following: "Ein Licht brennt an Deck.". I expected there to be a dative, so since the dictionary says that Deck is neuter, that would be dem, but was surprised to find an instead of am.
