By afternoon, a client paid her for a big job. The alert came in. Joy.

Then she tried to pay her supplier. “Limit exceeded.”

The money was right there. So why couldn’t she move it?

Because brand new accounts are a fraudster’s favourite getaway car: receive stolen money within hours, move it on before the victim even reports it.

So for the first 24 hours, the rule is simple. Money can come in. Large amounts can’t leave yet.

The customer still gets paid. The business doesn’t lose a customer. And stolen money has nowhere to run.

Good engineering doesn’t always say no. Sometimes it just says “not yet.”
