In his latest vlog, the North Shore charger documents a wild session at The Wedge during Southern California's recent historic swell, describing the event as "20 foot" and even going so far as to call it "the biggest swell to ever hit California." That's a bold statement. California has seen its fair share of legendary swells over the decades, including El Niño winters that produced giant surf from Maverick’s to south-of-the-border at Todos Santos and historic events that remain etched into surfing lore.
