I wanted to share my latest arrangement of "Boys Don’t Cry" by The Cure for String Quartet. I really wanted to capture the upbeat, driving energy of the original post-punk rhythm section while giving the violins and cello space to articulate the classic guitar hooks and vocal melodies.
I’d love to hear your feedback on the voicing and texture!
For fellow quartets looking for new gig repertoire or pop covers, the sheet music is officially licensed and available. You can check out more of my string quartet and solo arrangements directly on my website: marianofranco.com.ar
Thanks for listening, and let me know what you think!
