I had my final in person interview for a hospital provider position on 10/6. I already knew the lead advanced practice provider (APP) and most of the team members from my clinical rotation last year, so it was overall great vibes.

Was told at the end of the interview that HR will reach out the following week. The lead APP emailed me 2 hours after the interview sending me benefits info. Emailed them back thanking them.

I followed up with the lead APP on 10/16 asking for an update bc so far I have not been in contact with HR at all. So far no response and its almost been a week.

I know that anything after 2 weeks is probably rejection but I feel like I would have gotten this position having known the APP and he even said he talked to my school’s director about how I was interviewing with them.

This might not be important but thought i would add that on Workday my status is still “in progress” and the listing is still up from like 2 months ago lol.
