Cheap VPS for Pangolin. Which hardware and is it safe to use it also for other purposes ?

I am slowly building my homelab. My ISP put me behind a CGNAT.

I am in the process of purchasing a cheap VPS for installing Pangolin and allow access to my homelab service from outside the home lan. Tailscale is not an option because I will not the only user of this service.

Alpha VPS plans are very interesting and I am leaning toward the C6G:

CPU: 3 Shared Intel Xeon CPU Cores

RAM: 6GB ECC RAM

Storage: 55GB NVMe

Bandwidth/Traffic: 6TB/Month

Interface: 10Gbps Port

IP: 1 IPv4 IP and /64 of IPv6

I am pumping a bit on CPU and RAM because I have read of the streaming issue with the Newt client of Pangolin and in general and beside this Newt issue, for streaming I read that it is better to have a not so low-end VPS.

On top of that another reason I am not going with the very low end plan is that I am thinking i could use this vps also for other services:…
