Hey ya'll, trying to help my friend find a wetsuit for surfing, so he can get in shape. He's a large man, and there doesn't seem to be a surf purpose wetsuit off the rack that will fit. So I have a few question about the tradeoffs given his options. Surfing in San Francisco.
This one in 4XLT would be perfect , though it doesn't appear to be a real size, despite being listed in the size chart there. He's 6' 8.5", 275lbs, 51 inch chest.
Questions:
Could he comfortably wear this wetsuit (NRS Farmer Long John), with a longsleeve wetsuit neoprene top, like this? Would the front zipper be annoying for surfing? Claude told me the way the suit is cut may not make it good for surfing.
This one would fit size wise in 4XL, but it's a dive suit from my understanding, does that make it entirely a no-go for surfing?
Should he just go full custom?
