Hi everyone!

I'm planning a ski trip from San Diego and would really appreciate some advice from people familiar with the local resorts.

I'm planning to ski on Friday, January 29, Saturday, January 30, and Sunday, January 31, 2027. I'd prefer to keep the drive to around three hours from San Diego.

I'm considering Snow Valley, Snow Summit, and Mountain High, but I'm open to other suggestions.

My main concerns are snow reliability and weekend crowds. I'd love to find a resort with good snow conditions, plenty of open runs, and shorter lift lines, especially on Saturday and Sunday.

I'm an intermediate skier, comfortable on green and blue runs. I already have snow clothing, but I don't own any equipment, so I'll need to rent everything, including skis or a snowboard, boots, a helmet, and any other necessary gear.…
