Hey everyone.
I have been having some trouble getting past the final stage of interviews lately. I've had 2 companies totally re-open the job instead of hire me. When I do get feedback, its typically positive, but 1 of those 2 roles ghosted me and the other gave me feedback of "its not you its us" so IDK what they really thought.
Im wondering if the answer I use to "Why are you looking for a new role" is faux pas now. I've been using a version of "looking for new challenges"
Hiring managers, what are you hoping to hear as an answer to this question.
The true answer is obviously "for the money" and I'm neurodivergent so I struggle to keep up with the silly rules, I just know Im supposed to pretend I work for some other reason, and that the reasons people find acceptable seems to change over the years.
What are the rules to the game these days? Give me the cheat sheet so I can pretend to be like you.
