In honor of Ghostbusters Day, which celebrates the June 8 release of the original 1984 film, Sony Pictures held an event in New York City on Saturday at the Fire Department of the City of New York’s (FDNY) Hook & Ladder 8 firehouse. The location has served as the Ghostbusters’ recurring headquarters and real-life filming location since the first film. There, showrunners Ben Hibon and Elliott Kalan, along with Ghost Corps executive producers Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan, announced the official title and logo for Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming animated Ghostbusters series: Ghostbusters: Night Shift , expected to release in 2027.
