Día de Muertos is a tradition in Mexico to honor the lives of those who are gone, but never forgotten. In my case, I put the pictures of all the villagers who have left my island lmao. Every midnight of November 2nd, the souls of our loved ones come to visit us from the spirit world. It’s a night of celebration of their lives, often full of music, laughter and shared memories. Baby and children souls come on November 1st. October 27th is often celebrated as the day pets return to visit you, so ofrendas like this are set in days before the celebrations.
