Real estate brokers Oren and Tal Alexander and their brother, security executive Alon Alexander, were sentenced to 30 years in prison on Tuesday by a federal judge after being found guilty at trial of conspiracy to traffic women and girls for sex.

Federal Judge Valerie E. Caproni handed down the three-decade sentences before a packed courtroom. The brothers, who have denied any wrongdoing, had asked for 15-year sentences following the guilty verdict. Prosecutors sought life, but Caproni said she considered that punishment “draconian.”

None of the brothers took the stand at their federal trial, where a Manhattan jury found all three guilty on all counts in a verdict read on March 9. Eleven women testified over the course of the trial. Alon and Tal were also convicted of sex trafficking of a minor.…
