I had been watching this documentary “Filling in the blanks”. It mentioned how culturally in the 50’s since it had been a newer option there was this taboo around couples having to use sperm donors. So the couples who did use a sperm donor had been highly pressured to basically never say a word about it to absolutely no one. And it had also touched on how it had been a political hit button for a minute too. This got me wondering if their were any movies that touched on this more and / or maybe some of the other options regarding family planning. I’ve seen “Joy” the movie about the development of IVF. And “Call Jane”. About an operation built around helping women get abortions. I’m not really interested in the movies that mention it as a B-Plot like “Dirty Dancing” or something like “The Switch” where it’s a plot device.
