When the father of star Oregon State freshman receiver Jesse Legree posted a cryptic graphic on social media last week announcing a media event, it set off a wave of speculation.

The graphic, titled "The Legree Effect Decision Day," featured Legree in his orange Beavers uniform, surrounded by cameras. It was branded an "official media notice," directing inquiries to someone with the moniker T-R-I-Q-Z, and announced a 2 p.m. event for that Friday. What it didn't say was what decision Legree planned to announce.
