This was from a solo roadtrip from this time of year, two years ago. It would be best described as poker/hiking/photography trip, for pretty self explanatory reasons. Playing poker is kinda nice for solo travel, gives you something to do at night, plus if you’re good at it, you can pay for your trip, or more! And obviously hiking and photography are also great travel hobbies :)

The meat of the trip was one big loop that encompassed SE Connecticut (where the Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos are) up to New Hampshire and the White Mountains (plus a bunch of card rooms near the MA border) over to Massachusetts, Portsmouth, Rockport, Salem, Boston (Encore Casino) Cape Cod. Then also Rhode Island - Providence (Ballys casino), Newport, Jamestown.

My favorite part of the trip was just taking random back roads and just kind of trying to get a feel for this part of the US. I’ve only been to Boston previously, but never outside of the city, so this was a lot of fun for me, plus it’s autumn, which is gorgeous.…
