I bought a new prehung door a few days ago. There is a security/reinforcement plate stapled to the side of the door frame for the deadbolt. The plate looks like it is not installed properly on the frame. It is extending past the edge of the frame. Are the staples for shipping only? Should I remove the staples and reposition the plate and install with screws? See image for reference.
