If Minecraft Java stutters on your laptop, the fix is almost never "buy a new PC". The vanilla renderer is old, and a handful of community mods replace the slow parts. Together they often double or triple your frame rate on integrated graphics, with no change to how the game plays.
Why vanilla Minecraft runs badly on weak hardware
Minecraft Java does a lot of work on one CPU core: rebuilding chunk meshes, ticking entities and drawing things you can't even see. On a laptop with integrated graphics, that turns into low FPS, long freezes when you load new terrain, and a fan that never stops.
Performance mods fix this in three ways: a faster renderer, less wasted work (not drawing what's hidden), and lighter memory use.
