Two weeks after the Silver Rail Elementary School shooting that resulted in the death of three children and one teacher Bend churches and businesses continue to donate funds in support of Silver Rail staff, students and families.

Nearly 20 Bend churches, over 130 Dutch Bros locations and the Kendall Auto Group along with several other local businesses donated over $335,000 in the past weekend to Silver Rail Elementary.

The Oregon Community Foundation also awarded $100,000 in grants from the Rapid Response Fund to eight Central Oregon non-profits supporting Silver Rail.

The funds raised are going to a variety of community relief funds including the Silver Rail PTO and the Silver Rail Elementary Support Fund.
