To say Aaron Ashby is having one of the best postseason runs ever by a relief pitcher is an understatement. With 2.1 scoreless innings in Game 4, the left-hander now has 18 consecutive scoreless innings this postseason.

That broke the record for most consecutive scoreless innings to start the postseason. The previous best was 16 innings by Andrew Miller, as a member of the Cleveland Indians in 2016. More impressively, Ashby's 18 innings lead all Brewers pitchers this postseason. The next closest is left-hander Robert Gasser's 15.

Ashby broke the record with a scoreless ninth inning. He added a scoreless 10th inning and retired his only hitter faced in the 11th. Unfortunately, the efforts didn't translate into a win, as the Brewers were unable to close out Game 4 of the World Series.
