I'm looking for classic, beef roll loafers and have settled on the Sebago Classic Dan. Does anyone have experience with these?

• Is the corrected grain leather these are made with serviceable or should it be avoided at all costs?
• Is sizing down half a size as they recommend sufficient, or should I go wide as well? Note that I've never purchased any other shoes in a wide

I know there are other brands that get recommended a lot, but I need a company with an easy return/exchange policy (which rules out Meermin). Also can't do the months long lead time with companies like Rancourt and Beckett Simonon. Budget is under $300 which rules out Grant Stone, Vinny's, etc.
