what are your alternatives to stripe? ( I will not promote)

I will not promote

I’ve been exploring the payment processor space for a little while now and it sounds like the same problems keep coming up over and over again:

“handling tax obligations is borderline impossible to manage”

“stripe isn’t supported/invite only in my area”

“customer support is non existent when things go wrong, docs and SDK is bloated to hell”

“stripe/[insert payment processor] has banned my account with no explanation”

“stripe/[insert payment processor] has held funds/payouts with no explanation”

“getting approved onto the platform takes weeks”

What alternatives are you using for stripe and why did you choose it?

I am mostly looking for selling PDFs/guides/courses(sometimes), so a basically a gumoad alternative that is cheaper and does not suck in terms of support and all that.
