I’ve gotten rid of enough WiFi devices that it’s feasible for me to abandon my existing 2.4 network as an IoT network, and program the major stuff onto a new VLAN. It just seems easier to do it this way than reprogramming the IoT devices, some of which are a pain. My question is where to put certain devices, like HA - does it go on the IoT LAN or the new protected home network with the devices? It’s also running on ProxMox with my Scrypted server, which may be a factor. My Plex server goes on the new network? Where do the streaming clients end up I guess defines that.
