On a glorious Sunday morning, would-be athletes enjoyed “546 yards of scenic glory around Palmer Lake in peak fall color,” the event website said. “A donut at the halfway mark, a cold beer or root beer at the finish and bragging rights for life.”
The 12th annual Palmer Lake .5K Run was held on Oct. 18 and drew a crowd to the scenic, Tri-Lakes area town. The event is sponsored by Awake the Lake.
