The NFL has officially confirmed JAY-Z as the headliner of the 2027 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

After word of JAY-Z’s upcoming performance first leaked in the media last week, the NFL and Apple Music made the news official during Monday Night Football earlier this evening.

Since 2019, JAY-Z’s entertainment company Roc Nation has been charged with booking the Super Bowl Halftime Show and other major NFL music events. According to Puck News , Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus were also considered for the 2027 halftime show before JAY-Z ultimately settled on himself for the coveted gig.

The performance will mark JAY-Z’s first appearance on the Super Bowl Halftime Show stage and follows a series of high-profile stadium concerts in 2026 celebrating the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint .
