I’m 32F from Slovakia and I’ve been thinking about moving to Rotterdam next year (ideally sometime around April / June)

I’ve lived abroad before, but this time it would be different. I would be moving completely alone, without a partner, friends or an existing social circle there as it was before.

Part of me is genuinely excited about the idea of living in a big, busy city. I’ve always liked the idea of having life abroad and being in a more international environment. But the more seriously I think about it, and especially now that I would actually have to start taking concrete steps to make it happen, the more doubts I have.

So to make the move realistic, I would have to leave my current apartment, temporarily move back in with my parents to save money, deal with the housing situation in the NL, look for a job from abroad in a very competitive market without speaking Dutch and without university degree (but with several years of work experiences), and then rebuild my social life from zero.…
