I've been building a retro handheld for a long time and the project is basically done and I want to bring it to market but the requirements for FCC approval are difficult to navigate. It has an installed lipo battery, Raspberry Pi Zero 2W, and game hat (LCD screen , sound, controls) and that's enough to require recertification for unintentional emitters.

Apparently the pi is also only certified safe for 20cm away from human contact.

Has anyone else been through the FCC certification process? Did you have to get investment money to pay for it? What's a realistic path forward?
