I already opened and watched Altered States last night - was a blind buy for me, I'm basically ready to follow Ken Russell anywhere after The Devils - really enjoyed it! Love the lapses into avant garde montage and the eventual romantic core that emerges. I'm really excited to rewatch High Art next; I saw the 4K restoration at a festival last year and absolutely adored it, told myself if there was a release like this I'd get it. And I did. The Beast and McCabe & Mrs Miller, really excited to own both. I'd consider The Beast to be the best of the decade so far, and I'm just a really big Altman head and I'm very excited to be able to rewatch M&MM as much as I want (already seen it in cinemas twice!). As aforementioned Altered States was a blind buy; so are the Six Moral Tales, which I technically didn't get as part of the sale but off eBay for a cheapish price.…
