Love Island USA is once again the show of the summer, with Season 8 pulling 2.3 billion viewing minutes in its first two weeks — up 50 percent from last year's record-breaking run. But for all the hours fans pour into the villa, plenty about how the show actually works stays locked behind the scenes.
