Every insider trade at a US public company is public information. Officers, directors, and 10% owners have to file a Form 4 with the SEC within two business days of a transaction. The catch is the format: the data lives inside EDGAR filings, one XML document at a time, and turning that into something a program can actually query takes real work.
We did that work once, so agents don't have to repeat it. The result is a small, boring, pay-per-call API on ExchangeRebel β and "boring" is the point.
What's in it
The dataset is built from SEC EDGAR Form 4 filings:
66,004 insider transactions
23,266 filings
431 issuers
Each record is the transaction as filed: who traded, what they bought or sold, how much, at what price, and when. One filing in the source data was future-dated; it sits in quarantine and is never served. If the data can't be right, it doesn't ship.
