California's newest wave pool has officially passed its first major test.

After months of anticipation, DSRT Surf in Palm Desert recently hosted its inaugural super session, inviting a who's who of surfing to put the facility through its paces. And judging by the reactions, the Golden State's first Wavegarden-powered lagoon is off to a solid start.

Among those in attendance were Jacob "Zeke" Szekely, Rob Machado, Griffin Colapinto , Skip McCullough, and several other standout surfers, all eager to sample the machine-generated waves. Guiding the session was former World Tour standout Josh Kerr, an aerial innovator and DSRT Surf partner who helped introduce the crew to the wave settings and showcase the pool's capabilities.…
