What I Built

Food Explainer is a digital culinary tasting companion and dish explainer built for independent restaurants, boutique bistros, craft gastropubs, and modern food halls.

The Problem

When customers dine out or order unfamiliar dishes (whether it's authentic Tonkotsu Ramen, Oaxacan Birria Tacos, Porcini Risotto, or Basque Burnt Cheesecake), waitstaff often lack the time or depth to describe subtle flavor profiles, mouthfeel textures, and aftertaste finishes. Diners hesitate to order unfamiliar high-margin menu items, and front-of-house staff spend repetitive minutes explaining ingredients and flavor balances.
