Bend Fire & Rescue will conduct specialized flammable liquids training on Monday, Nov. 2, producing large flames and smoke visible from Highway 20 and nearby neighborhoods, the agency said.

The training is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. at the department’s North Station (63377 NE Jamison St.)

The exercise, conducted in partnership with the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, will use a live-fire prop that produces large flames.

Officials said the activity is planned and does not indicate an emergency. Residents do not need to call 911 to report flames or smoke associated with the exercise.
