My therapy homework is to create a playlist of songs that have words, but no negativity at all in them. I'm very soothed by music, but influenced by emotions I sense from others. Like, if I read a book where the main character faces injustices, I feel angry and wronged in my own life and have to work to separate the 2 things in my mind.

I like mostly older music - Beatles, Queen, Bowie are my favourite. I don't listen to radios or anything, so I don't know much newer music unless someone shares it with me, but have liked the Killers, Chappell Roan, Lady Gaga. I get really agitated with music that has very long intros (like Hotel California) or too much repetition (like Modern Love), so that type of song won't work for me even if the message is positive.…
