Google added co-creation controls to Slide Decks and Video Overviews in Gemini Notebook, letting users review and edit an outline or "producer notes" built from their sources before the AI renders the final output.

Google announced the change in a blog.google post on Oct. 19 by Viraj Doshi, senior product manager, and Shan Wang, senior UX designer. "Instead of jumping from an initial prompt straight to a final output, Gemini Notebook can now walk you through the creation flow in a quick process based directly on your sources," they wrote.

How the review step works

Users start in the chat and ask Gemini Notebook to create slides or a video overview. The notebook suggests topics to include based on the sources, and once the user confirms, they can steer the content further, including format and visual style.…
