First of all, I love the Digitone Keys and its dedicated outputs. I currently have a small station set up where I've got the Digitone Keys routed out through a pedalboard. I would like to improve on this setup by adding a patchbay, the goal being that I can route any of the 4 tracks out through a variety of pedals, playing with different arrangements of series and parallel processing, then sum it all back into a mixer.
The challenge is that all of the Digitone Keys outputs are stereo, as dual 1/4" TS. Most of my pedals use these same connections, though many are mono only.
1st Question: Is there any way to get a patchbay setup that will allow me to take a stereo dual 1/4" TS out of the Digitone Keys, sum it to mono, then feed it into a mono effect pedal (via 1/4" TS)? Or should I just forget this idea and treat all the Digitone tracks as mono?
2nd Question: Should I be looking at rackmount or desktop patchbays? I'm open to either.…
