X-Men '97, the continuation of the beloved X-Men: The Animated Series, is arguably one of the best things on Disney+. The fantastic writing and updated but still faithful animation hit all the right notes with both critics and fans, bringing the show into the 21st century with just the right amount of nostalgia. The end of season one found most of the team scattered throughout time, and presumed dead.

As foreshadowed by the season's post-credits scene, the trailer for season 2 depicts versions of Apocalypse in all three timelines inhabited by the X-Men. As the heroes all try to make their way back to the 90s, Apocalypse plans to attack them there, "where they are most vulnerable."

Season 2 of X-Men '97 will premiere on Disney+ on July 1, 2026.…
