Wanted to share some shots from my recent solo trip to Central Asia this past August. If you’re looking for a destination that feels incredibly raw but is becoming surprisingly accessible, these two countries need to be on your radar.
The Basics:
Duration: 12 Days (August)
Budget: ~$2,200 USD for ground costs, tours, and food (excluding my inbound flight to Almaty, which was a miles redemption).
Route: Flew into Almaty (Kazakhstan), crossed the land border to Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), and spent a week doing a nomadic loop through Song Kul, Kel-Suu Lake, Barskoon Gorge, and Altyn Arashan. I went with The Nomads Travel which can be found in IG. We were 12 in the group and more than half are Europeans.
Camera: Fujifilm XS20 with Kodak 1979 Film Simulation
A few quick takeaways for anyone planning a trip:
The Landscapes: Kyrgyzstan truly lives up to the hype.…
