Channing Tatum , Jonah Hill , and Ice Cube are in talks to reunite for a third Jump Street installment, with development underway. As Variety reported on Wednesday (June 10), the stars of action-comedies 21 Jump Street (2012) and 22 Jump Street (2014) are expected to enter negotiations for 24 Jump Street . Rodney Rothman, known for his work on 22 Jump Street and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse , is attached to return as director. Rothman also co-wrote the new script with Hill and producer Meghan Malloy. The Jump Street series, based on 1980s crime drama 21 Jump Street starring Johnny Depp , centers buddy cops Morton Schmidt (Hill) and Greg Jenko (Tatum), who get into hijinks throughout crime takedowns.
