As the conflict in Iran escalates, more questions arise on whether or not it is safe for US citizens to travel to countries across the region, including Egypt. The State Department’s Travel Advisory for Egypt—which is located in northeast Africa over a thousand miles away from Tehran—currently remains at a Level 2. The second-lowest safety tier encourages Americans in Egypt to “exercise increased caution," the same guidance for France and The Bahamas, for example.
