A new video from the Gold Coast captures Snapper Rocks in one of those rare, unruly moods, with heavy barrels detonating over the bank and surfers and bodyboarders scrambling for whatever corners they can find. Instead of the long, groomed walls that make the Superbank famous, the lineup is full of backwash, ledges and wonky sections that look considerably less forgiving.
