Newly released Pentagon files reveal federal agents spotted a mysterious black triangular object near a U.S. national security site in June.

Two FBI agents described the craft as having a wingspan of nine to 15 feet, with no visible exhaust gases or detectable acoustic signature.

A Department of War memorandum recorded the craft performing a vertical ascent and brief hover before accelerating to speeds comparable to a fighter jet.

The documents include images of the reported object superimposed over the landscape, though many key details remain redacted.

The release forms part of a series of disclosures directed by Donald Trump regarding mysterious objects in the sky.
