I unfortunately did not exercise proper caution and didn’t research QOTOM beforehand.

I bought a Mini PC Q31500VT S18 Series directly from the manufacturer.

I needed to connect a SATA drive using the cable that came in the box.

After connecting a SATA SSD, the mini PC stopped booting. I assumed the SSD had failed — just a coincidence, I thought.

I tried a second SATA SSD that had been lying around for a long time — same result.

On the third attempt, this time with a 2.5" HDD, the mini PC stopped powering on completely.

I tested all the drives separately — they were all fully functional.
