“Growing up around my father's legacy and the Rastafari faith, herb was never viewed through the same lens that much of the world saw it. For many years, there was a lot of misunderstanding and stigma surrounding cannabis, so it's been encouraging to see that conversation evolve,” Cedella Marley, daughter of the late, great reggae icon Bob Marley, tells SURFER. “Today, people are more educated about its medicinal benefits, cultural significance, and economic potential. At the same time, it's important not to lose sight of its deeper roots. For Rastafari, herb has always been more than a product. It carries spiritual and cultural significance that deserves respect and understanding,” she continues.
